Walkies are being called for both humans and their four-legged friends to raise money for a hospital.
The Royal National Orthapaedic Hospital (RNOS), Brockley Hill, Stanmore is holding its 15th annual Buttercup Walk at this Sunday.
The one-mile walk will take place in the hospital grounds and participants are asked to raise £50 sponsorship to participate.
But Best in Show may be awarded to a prize pooch instead, in the family fun day’s third dog show, hosted by Blythwood Vets.
Awards will be given for waggiest tail and best sausage catcher, and entry is £2, which will be shared between the RNOS and the RSPCA NW Middlesex branch.
From 10.30am until 2.30pm guests will be entertained by children’s rides, entertainment and food stalls and live band ‘The Rockin’ Bones’.
So far the event has raised £500,000 for the charity with £50,000 last year going towards new ultrasound machines for babies.
