A man is concerned sewer cleaning works being carried out on a road is causing "unprecedented" traffic and delays for people trying to vote in the General Election.
Oliver Feldman drove to his nearest polling station in Uxbridge Road, Stanmore, at 8.20am this morning.
However, he noticed road works taking place along the road that were causing long queues of traffic.
He is "worried" this may hinder people trying to cast their vote before work.
Mr Feldman said: "This should not be happening on the day of the General Election.
"This morning could be the only time of the day day that some people could vote, as they may not be able to come back to the polling station after work.
"Hopefully the traffic will clear soon."
Harrow Council has said the works should not have any effect people accessing polling stations.
The work is expected to be completed tomorrow (Friday, June 9).
