Verity Harrington Green, 24, lives in Banbury, and the puppy was taken from her parents’ home in Hatch End.

She decided to head straight home to Harrow, after her parents broke the news to her.

Ms Harrington Green said: "I was so shocked, I came straight home so we could all be together. My parents are devastated, we all are.

"We only got her on December 13, it hadn't been a month when she was stolen from us.  "We haven't had a dog before, and when my parents saw he was for sale, they drove straight up to Yorkshire to bring him home.

"At Christmas he was great, just running around, chewing socks and feet and anything really. It was nice to have him around."

She added that the family hadn't posted pictures online, and Balou had barely left the house and he was carried along the high street due to how small he was.

Ms Harrington Green said: "The response on social media has been great, out posts have been shared so many times.

"We just want Balou home. We are not interested in who has taken him or why, we just want him back."

This is the second puppy to be taken from its home in less than one week.

A nine-week-old pup was stolen from his home in Harrow Weald in the early hours of January 5.

Bluebell who is described as small and black with a distinctive white streak along his chest, is microchipped.

Police believe it was a targeted theft.

They added that CCTV footage shows two white males arriving in a dark coloured people carrier.

If you have information on the whereabouts of these puppies, call police on 101.
