A secret art sale saw 143 artists exhibit their work in efforts to raise money for the Heath Robinson Museum.

It will display the Heath-Robinson brothers’ original artwork for book and magazine illustration - many are being exhibited for the first time.

Mr Higginson said: “Tom, Charles and Will were like a family dynamo of creativity who were fortunate to be present at one of the most exciting moments in the history of illustration.

“They admired and respected each other profoundly. Never a cruel word was spoken.

“Effectively, this was to result in a continual nurturing of each other’s individual talents.”

The museum will also launch its specially-brewed Frothfinders ale in time for the exhibition opening.

The Frothfinders Federation was founded by William Heath Robinson himself and his brothers.
