Talented young musicians from Pinner hit the high notes at a live rock concert.

Pupils of London’s largest contemporary music school - The Rock Project - which has music schools at Nower Hill High School in Pinner and Vyners School Academy Trust in Ickenham, performed in front of the standing-room-only audience.

The inaugural end of year gig, which took place at Ickenham village hall, brought the captivated crowd to its feet.

Harrow Times:

Pritpal Chitroda, who runs the schools, said: “We are all absolutely overjoyed by the incredible amount of positive feedback and reviews we’ve had from all the parents and friends who attended our first public performance.

“It was absolutely superb and the hall was filled to capacity so the atmosphere was just fantastic.

“The students were amazing and none of us dreamt our first year would end on such a high point. We can’t wait for the next season to begin.”

Youngsters aged seven to 18 formed groups and played a mixture of rock and pop anthems from classic rockers Bon Jovi and Guns n Roses, and more recent numbers from acts such as Green Day.

The Rock Project offers young people tuition in drums, bass, electric guitar and vocals from professional, working musicians.
