This little bird was rescued by Kier crew members Jack Richardson and Miroslaw Bar working on the new wetland in Queensbury Park - due to open on May 17.
While gardening along the edge a stream that flows into the Edgware Brook, they found the small bird caught up in fishing wire and dangling upside down by some trees.
They cut the bird free using a nail clipper and unravelled wires from the bird to set it free.
Over the last year, Harrow Council in partnership with Thames 21 and Thames Water, has been working to transform the wetlands for residents, school children, and visitors to relax in and enjoy the greenspace all year round.
The new wetland officially opens on Tuesday, May 17, with a ceremony at 2pm.
