The Mayor of Harrow visited this year's Hanuman Flower Festival to mark the annual Hindu celebration.
Cllr Krishna Suresh and his wife Cllr Sasikala Suresh joined in celebrations, to honour the Hindu God, Deity Hanuman, at Pinner Village Hall on Sunday 25th October.
As part of the festival, an idol of the God Hauman is worshipped and showered with flowers whilst prayers are chanted. The celebration is held annually to pray for release from life’s difficulties and to ask for Hanuman’s blessing.
Cllr Krishna Suresh was elected Mayor of Harrow at the Annual Council Meeting in May 2015. Before this, he was Deputy Mayor and was elected as a Labour Cllr in 2010, serving the Rayners Lane Ward of Harrow.
