Beaming smiles and bright colours dashed through the streets at a charity fundraiser.
The Mount Vernon Hospital site in Rickmansworth Road, Northwood, was covered with a rainbow of colours last weekend at the Michael Sobell Hospice Colourdash event.
More than 150 participants took part in the colourful event, where they wore white t-shirts and sunglasses and were pelted with different colours of paint at various colour stations along the 5K route.
Sponsorship for the event is still coming in but the charity hopes to raise at least £15,000.
Melanie Burfitt, from Michael Sobell Hospice, said “Thank you to everyone who came along and supported this event which will raise much needed funds to help local people with life-limiting illnesses.
“It costs £6,000 a day to maintain our current levels of care, £2,500 of which is provided by fundraising, so the funds raised from this event will really make a difference.“
