A convicted man has been ordered to attend an alcohol treatment service after abusing police officers and passers-by.
In July, Jason Adlington, 35, was convicted of being drunk and disorderly in Harrow Town Centre after being abusive to passers-by and police officers.
He was fined £127 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and a criminal courts' charge of £150.
At Brent Magistrates' Court on Monday, August, 24, Adlington was granted a three-year criminal behaviour order with the condition that he must leave a shop or commercial premises immediately if asked and must not attempt to enter and shop he is banned from.
He must also attend Compass, a specialist drug and alcohol treatment service, once a week for twelve weeks.
PC Stuart Hutchinson of the Anti Social Behaviour Unit said: "Not only do these conditions protect the public and businesses in Harrow Town Centre, but this order under the new legislation enables us to give criminals the help they need to stop offending and turn their lives around."
Steve Evans of Harrow Business Against Crime said: "This is a great example of partnership working across the board. Three different agencies have taken steps to prevent crime in the town centre through enforcement and support of a prolific offender in Harrow."
