People can flex their general knowledge skills at an event to raise money for a family.

A former pupil of Welldon Park Junior School, in Wyvenhoe Road, Harrow, Helena Bark was first diagnosed with cancer in September 2013 and has been at University College Hospital, London, ever since.

She went into remission last June, receiving a bone marrow transplant in July, but has now found out that the cancer has returned.

After friends and family members raised thousands of pounds through a series of fundraisers, Helena was brought back to live in her family home, in Wargrave Road, South Harrow.

But now doctors say her condition is deteriorating as the cancer progresses, and friends have rallied around Helena yet again to help her enjoy her last few weeks with her family.

Teams of up to eight members can sign up to take part in a charity quiz night and grand raffle at Elmfield Church Hall, in Imperial Drive, Harrow.

Being held on Saturday, September 19 from 7pm, all funds raised from the event will go directly to Helena and her family.

Tickets can be bought in advance by calling Rosalyn or Zoe Neale on 07815 739 319.
