Witnesses are urged to come forward after a 79-year-old man was hospitalised after being hit by a car.

The Metropolitan Police were called at about 1.30pm on Friday, July 17 to the collision involving a Toyota Yaris and a male pedestrian on the eastbound Uxbridge Road between Ross Close and Carrington Square, Harrow Weald.

The man was taken to hospital by ambulance where he is being treated for a number of fractures.

The driver of the Toyota stopped at the scene and no arrests have been made.
