Festival-goers will be able to sample Indian drumming and watch performances from schools as a community comes together.

Adults and children alike are being invited to attend the North Harrow Festival, organised by the North Harrow Community Partnership, which will be opened by Harrow mayor Councillor Krishna Suresh on Saturday, July 4.

Performances will be put on by the children of St John Fisher School and Nower Hill High School, Dhol2Dhol Drummers, Merrydowners Morris Dancers, with art and science exhibitions also from Nower Hill High School.

There will be a number of stalls manned by organisations including Harrow Mencap, Harrow Association of Disabled People, Harrow Museum, the Metropolitan Police and Harrow Fire Brigade.

Dhol2 Dhol will provide free workshops for people to try out Indian drumming, while police officers will be providing security bike marking and bike repairs.

The festival will be held between 11am and 2pm along Station Road and Pinner Road in North Harrow.
