Harrow Harmony

As part of its 15th anniversary celebrations, Harrow Harmony has commissioned a new piece of music by composer Philip Lawson, a former member of the Grammy Award-winning vocal group The King’s Singers. The new piece is entitled Sing We and Chant It and has lyrics taken from various Elizabethan madrigals, including Now is the Month of Maying and Sing We and Chant It, both with original melodies by Thomas Morley (1557-1602). The concert will also include music by modern composers and musicians including Howard Goodall, Take That, Carole King, The Everly Brothers and The Beatles. Award-winning brass quintet Quintabile will also play.

The Birds and the Bees

Amici Chamber Choir presents its summer concert, which offers a variety of choral amusements based on birds, animals and insects. The concert will also reflect the theme of love with readings and music based on Shakespeare’s timeless poetry, and will also give audience members the rare chance to hear some delightful choral pieces by the multi-talented George Shearing

Rhythm of the Dance

An incredible live show celebrating the rich history of Ireland and the art of Irish dance, from the disciplined Celtic Step to the sensual, ancient Sean Nos dance style. Rhythm of the Dance, from the National Dance Company of Ireland, creates a new era in Irish entertainment, presenting 30 dancers, a traditional Irish band and the handsome Young Irish Tenors.

The Friendly Society of Artists

Come along and browse the artwork of the society’s members at its summer exhibition. On show will be colourful paintings in various media by Edna Eckett, Carol Rogers and Joy Tarman, as well as beautiful hand-made jewellery by Morag Vangeyzel.

Idina Menzel

Tony Award-winning singer and actor Idina Menzel finishes her biggest UK and Ireland tour to date with a night at Wembley Arena. Idina’s career has traversed stage, film, TV and music, but she is best known as the voice of Ella in Disney’s global box office smash Frozen, in which she sings the film’s Oscar-winning song Let It Go. Idina earned her first Tony nomination as Maureen in the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Rent and won the award for her performance as Elphaba in Wicked. Other notable appearances include Rachel’s mum in the hit TV series Glee and in Disney’s Enchanted.
