Patriotic songs, dances and poems were performed as a community saw in the Bengali New Year.
Members of the Bengali community attended a bright celebration of their New Year and Independence Day at Victoria Hall in Sheepcote Road, Harrow, over the weekend.
Beginning with dinner and speeches by MPs Gareth Thomas and Barry Gardiner, and GLA member Navin Shah, the event finished with a cultural programme of dances, songs and poetry.
