Gardeners who have not yet signed up to a new garden waste collection service have only two weeks left to do so.
From June 1, households in Kenton and Kingsbury who have not already signed up to Brent Council’s garden waste service will, over a six week-period, have their organic bins removed.
Food waste will still be recycled for free using the new food waste container.
Although the garden waste charge was introduced in April, Brent Council has waited until June to give gardeners the opportunity to decide whether they will need the service.
Households that opt-in to the garden waste bin collection service will be notified of their collection day when they subscribe.
To sign up for the garden waste collection service, visit www.brent.gov.uk/gardenwaste or call 020 8937 5050 and select option 1.
