Children were treated to new toys after a charity shop received a bumper donation.
Barnardo’s charity shop in Pinner received 80 bags of donated children’s toys worth £960 as part of the charity’s partnership with the Argos Toy Exchange.
During the eight-week campaign, donations across London filled 550 bags, a total of £9,948 worth of donated toys.
Barnardo’s director of retail and trading Gerard Cousins said: “This is the third year of the partnership and we are delighted that the Argos Toy Exchange has again proved such a success, particularly in such a challenging economic climate.
“Donations are absolutely essential, to keep our stores trading. All profits from selling these toys are ploughed directly into Barnardo’s work with vulnerable and disadvantaged children, so thank you to everyone who has taken part.”
