A primary school marked Holocaust Memorial Day by inviting a survivor to speak about her experience.
Rosh Pinah Primary School in Glengall Road, Edgware, has said it was "honoured" as it welcomed Holocaust survivor Lady Zahava Kohn on Monday to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day.
Lady Zahava Kohn, helped by her daughter Hephzibah Rudofsky, told the audience of parents, staff and Year 6 pupils the story of her family’s survival during the Second World War - including being a prisoner in two concentration camps, Westerbork and Bergen Belsen.
A regular speaker at schools and events all over the country, Lady Zahava said: “I am particularly delighted to return to Rosh Pinah this evening. When I first arrived in England my first job was as a nursery teacher at Rosh Pinah.”
