A care home welcomed a school choir for a harvest festival to collect food for a homeless charity.
Sanctuary Care home, in Wellington Road, Hatch End, held its annual community harvest festival collecting food for homelessness charity New Hope.
They also welcomed pupils from West Lodge Primary School, in Pinner, who sang songs to those living in the home.
New Hope helps and supports the homeless in the Watford area and last year served 400,000 meals at its drop in service.
Rea Williams, the home manager at Haven said: “We wanted to hold an event to celebrate the harvest season with the local community while also showing support for New Hope, who do amazing work for the homeless.
“It was a really wonderful afternoon. We were thrilled to have Hugh Lloyd from New Hope with us to receive the donation.
“We managed to collect over three giant boxes worth of food for New Hope and are so grateful to all those who have donated.
“A highlight for everyone was the children singing, particularly the last song when everyone joined in with great enthusiasm. They were absolutely amazing, residents loved every moment.”
