Cyclists are invited to take part in a challenging town and country guided bike ride.
British Cycling and Sky have launched the new free long distance rides around London with two starting in Harrow.
Organisers warn the courses are not for the faint-hearted and are designed to test cyclists over longer distances of around 40 miles while letting them explore their local area.
The first ride from Harrow will start on Sunday, October 19, meeting at Kenton Recreational Ground Carlton Avenue at 9am.
Those interested in taking part are advised they will need a road bike and able to comfortably cover 30 miles.
The next town and country ride from Harrow starting at the same meeting point will be on November 2, at 9am.
British Cycling’s director of recreation, Stewart Kellett, said: “The beauty of these rides is that they allow a bit more of a test to those people who are seeking to take their cycling further, while still providing a supported environment, led by our excellent ride leaders.”
