A hospital radio station raised hundreds of pounds with the support of a supermarket.
Volunteers from Radio Northwick Park held two fundraising events at Tesco store in Pinner, playing music to customers as they carried out their weekly shop.
They managed to raise a total of £480 which will go towards the running of the station.
Hannah Ashman said: “This was our first appearance at Tesco in Pinner and a warm welcome back at Harrow and it was incredibly successful.
“Thank you to all the support and generosity from the local community.”
Radio Northwick Park broadcasts to patients throughout the hospital 24 hours a day and has more than 150 volunteers who visit patients every day.
The station, a registered charity, has been in operation for more than 40 years and is run entirely by volunteers.
