Craftspeople tapped into their creative sides as they showcased their work at an artisan fair.

Exhibitors showed off glass blowing, jewellery making and book binding skills at Pinner Parish Church Hall, in Church Lane, yesterday.

The event was attended by people from across the world.

Glass blower Anthony Windhurst, who lives in Eastcote, said: “I’ve been doing this for 25 years and it’s a fantastic hobby.

“Today has been a good chance to show my work and get my name out there. We’ve had a good turn out and there’s been a lot of interest.”

Ron and Sandy Furth, who live in Colarado, visited the exhibition to see more of Mr Windhurst’s work, which they said they “absolutely love”.

Mr Furth said: “We’ve always been fans of his work – we’ve got a piece in our house. It’s very impressive so we were pleased to head down here today to see him in action.

“It’s very delicate, which is what we like about it.”

Pinner Arts Week, which runs until Sunday, October 5, also includes a photography exhibition and live music.

Other attractions include embroidery, life drawing, paper cutting and flower arranging.

People will also be given the chance to learn apple pressing to make cider.
