Children and teenagers are being urged to have their say on issues important to them as part of a national consultation.

Harrow Youth Parliament, with the support of Harrow Borough Council, is calling for to take part in the annual Make Your Mark ballot.

Members of UK Youth Parliament (MYPs) have set themselves a target of getting 1,000,000 young people across the UK to take part this year.

Teenagers are being called to vote for one of ten issues which is most important to them which will be debated by the UK Youth Parliament (UKYP) in the House of Commons later this year.

Topics include the right to vote at the age of 16, funding of youth services, resists sin English and maths exams, a living wage and changes to the curriculum.

Member of youth parliament for Harrow, Zak Wagman: “This is our chance, as young people to make a change and take our stance.

“This is Harrow’s chance, and we are aiming for 10,000 ballots, which is triple last year, and similar to our scores in this year’s youth elections.”
