The winners of an annual housing estates gardening competition have been announced.
The gardeners taking part in the Harrow Estates in Bloom were given their awards at a ceremony last week by the Mayor of Harrow Councillor Ajay Maru.
The winners of this year's contest included Durrant Court, for best sheltered accommodation garden, Harrow Weald TRA for best young gardeners, and Pinner Hill Community TRA for the best communal garden.
There were 17 entries across five categories include best estate communal garden, best front garden and best young gardener.
The Mayor said: "I would like to congratulate all the winners of this year's competition. Everyone who has taken part in this year's competition has done a wonderful job in helping their community, by improving the area in which they live in through gardening.
"Estates in Bloom lets residents work together creating a positive difference to their neighbourhood and to the wellbeing of others.
"We've seen a fantastic mix of people take part from the young to the old which is also great to see and I hope that this joint partnership between residents continues throughout the year."
