A shop has announced it will raise money for a cancer charity during the next year.
Wilko store in St George’s Shopping Centre, Harrow, has announced its chosen charity for the next year will be Cancer Research UK.
The branch, along with two others, raised a total of £6,731 last year for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Lauren Hewitt, assistant store manager at Wilko Harrow, said: “We had a wonderful year supporting Great Ormond Street Hospital and we hope the grand total raised by all the stores in the region made a real difference.
“We can’t wait to get going with our fundraising – there are plenty of ideas in the pipeline and we hope our loyal customers in Harrow will support them and see us on our way to another amazing total over the next 12 months.”
