A charity held an Easter party for deaf people and their families from across the borough.

The Harrow United Deaf Club held the event, which was opened by the Mayor of Harrow Nana Asante at the Bridge Centre in Christchurch Avenue.

There were arts and craft activities and Easter egg making for children and families to enjoy.

The event included talks from different faith leaders including Reverend Anne Richardson, a deaf chaplain, who explained the meaning of Easter.

There was also a speech from Eva Fielding Jackson, a deaf Jewish speaker, who discussed Jewish festivals around Easter such as Sabbath and Passover.
