Three properties have been evacuated following a gas leak in Harrow.
Engineers from the National Grid were called to Shaftesbury Avenue at 11.45am following reports of a gas leak under the road.
Police closed the road at 12.45pm to allow engineers to find and mend the leak.
Currently, the road remains closed but it will shortly be reopened and the engineers will work from the pavement to complete the repair work.
Bus routes 114 and 140 are being diverted by Lower Road and Bessborough Road.
