Brent Police and sports clubs get together to teach young people about drugs
8:50am Friday 9th November 2012 in News By Emma Innes
Police and sports clubs are getting together today to teach young people the effects of cannabis and shisha.
Brent Safer Neighbourhoods Task Force Team and Wembley Safer Neighbourhoods Team are organising the event which will take place at Copland Community School from 3.30pm until 7.30pm.
During the free event people will be able to hear first hand from an ex drug user about how much damage drugs use can do.
Sports and fitness clubs will also be present to encourage people to get involved with sports in the hope of diverting them away from gangs.
There will be guest appearances from Paul Hannaford, a drugs speaker, and Dan Magness, a freestyle football player.
