Freedom pass changes go against promise

Twenty per cent of Harrow’s population are over 60 and they have just been lied to by David Cameron.

The Tory manifesto had a clear commitment to protect concessionary fares.

He even accused Labour of “pure and simple lies” when his real intention was challenged in the general election campaign, yet his coalition Government has announced plans to raise the free bus pass age earlier than planned.

This cynical cut, after only two months in power, has again exposed his manifesto as a sham. Harrow’s 43,000 residents who are over 60 will be asking who the liar is now.

Jeff - you don't mention the fact the previous Labour Government reduced the grant for the bus concessionary scheme in London by some £25 million. That cost has been dumped on local authorities and council tax payers - urmmmm pensioners amongst others.
You might want to explain that to Harrow tax payers. Oh did I forget to mention the £22,000 of debt that your government has also saddled every man, woman, child and baby with?
