MP fails to debate the vital issues

11:51am Friday 12th March 2010

Following the recent ten days holiday enjoyed by the parliamentary elected member for Brent North, MP Barry Gardiner, I have been concerned by the failure of his attendance to listen and debate vital legislation.

There is an attempt to restore a semblance of a fairer voting system, to ensure a more representative House of Commons, in the hope of voters gaining more trust and interest.

Also, crucially, reforms will offer greater authority to MPs to prevent the current unrepresentative Government from passing legislation without full scrutiny, discussion and debate.
