Date set for council by-election
A date has been announced for a by-election for a Harrow Borough Council seat.
Polling for the Harrow-on-the-Hill ward seat will take place on, Thursday, November 7 from 7am to 7pm.
The by-election comes about following the resignation of Labour councillor Ann Gate after she announced she would be moving to Gloucestershire.
She was first elected in May 2010 and was a member of licensing, grants and overview committees.
Political parties are currently undertaking a selection process for the election with the deadline of October 11 set for nomination papers to be handed in to the council.
