FORMER Harrow councillor Anne Diamond is campaigning for the Liberal Democrats on health and planning issues.
Mrs Diamond represented Wemborough ward from 1994 to 2002, and was the party's health spokesman on the council during that time.
As chair of Care Support Harrow and a member of the Multiple Sclerosis Society, she would like to see more support from the council for care services in the borough.
She said: "I wonder if Harrow Council could put more money into Harrow care services instead of cutting it."
Mrs Diamond, 53, has lived in Harrow all her life and would like to have a say into planning issues if elected.
Although she concedes the ward is traditionally a Conservative stronghold, she believes she can still win.
She said: "I want to be able to canvass everyone in the ward, and although the area is traditionally Tory, that is not to say a Liberal Democrat cannot break through."
