Year 12 students enjoy careers workshop
Students at a Kingsbury school have been aiming high at a careers workshop.
Year 12 students at Kingsbury High School, in Princes Avenue, attended an Aim Higher Workshop hosted by the school.
At the event 34 former students and two members of staff gave talks about their experiences of universities including Cambridge, Imperial College, London, and Durham.
The students also heard talks by employees of a number of companies, including the BBC, Ernst & Young and Sony.
There were also presentations on gap years and studying abroad.
Jeyashanker Thivya, Year 12, said: “The day was useful for me to create the right mindset crucial for A-levels.
“I learnt the imperative steps I need to take to succeed but the highlight of my day was getting an insight to the lives of the past students of Kingsbury High.
“It was an eye opener to what we are embarking on and the importance our education will play in our future.”
