Gun find causes traffic chaos on A41 in Stanmore

There was traffic chaos in Stanmore this morning after police found a hand gun beside a road.
Police were called at 8.30am following reports of a hand gun in the central reservation of the A41 near Junction 4.
A small gun was found and traffic on the A41 had to be restricted while police awaited the arrival of a firearms team.
The restriction caused congestion for more than two hours.
The gun has now been sent for forensic examination.
