Detectives investigating the murder of a Wembley man in Bournemouth have made two more arrests.

Dorset Police arrested a 29-year-old London man and a 22-year-old woman in the Westbourne area of the town on Tuesday morning on suspicion of conspiracy to murder Reece James Menzies.

The 21-year-old new dad, from Wembley, was found dead at his flat in the Boscombe area of the town with a gunshot wound to the head in the early hours of July 25.

Reece’s mother, Michelle James, told the Harrow Times last month how her son was a “mummy’s boy” who could not be part of the Church Road Soldiers gang that operates in Harlesden.

She described him as a “loving son” who had welcomed his baby daughter Takayla into the world on May 12 with his girlfriend.

Three other men, Wayne Stephenson, 33, Jerome Parkinson, 24, and Keifer Hutchinson, 22, were arrested in dawn raids in the capital last month and have been charged with his murder.

Detectives have carried out further searches in London and Bournemouth as the hunt for the missing weapon continues.
