A man has been charged with murder over the stabbing of another man in a Wembley street two weeks ago.

Dean Gabay, 22, of no fixed abode, will appear at Hendon Magistrates’ Court this morning accused of killing 26-year-old Arron Payne outside a health centre in Chalkhill Road on September 5.

Mr Payne was found with stab wounds lying on the pavement at just before 7pm, before being rushed to St Mary’s Hospital, where he died last Thursday.

Flowers and candles surrounded the scene of his death on Thursday night.

Two other men, aged 21 and 22, have been bailed to return to a north London police station in November over the incident.
