An advice day has been organised to bring elderly people in Brent up to speed about important issues.
The Elders Choice Awareness day on March 31 will see experts speaking on a variety of topics – from fire prevention to nutrition. The day was organised in partnership with Brent NHS and the emergency services.
Brent’s lead member for adults and health Ruth Moher said: “Events like these are a really great way of finding out about the support that's available locally and getting general health and living advice to boot. What's also great about them is they provide a chance to get professional advice, face-to-face, which can sometimes seem difficult these days.”
The day will run from 9 am to 3 pm in Brent Town Hall, Forty Lane.
