Harrow's diversity to be celebrated with event

A celebration of the borough's diverse community is taking place in Harrow next month.

The event, which will be held on March 17, from 11am to 5pm in St Ann’s Road, will include performances from Irish dancers in honour of St Patrick's Day.

Comedienne and CBBC producer London Hughes will also introduce acts onto an open air stage in St John's Road.

From 11am, St Ann's Road will also be the place for food lovers to tuck in, with a farmer's market and continental food stalls, street food stalls and a demonstration kitchen.

The day is funded by the Mayor of London’s Outer London Fund, which saw Harrow receive £1.8m to help revitalise the area.

Andy Stubbs, Harrow Town Centre manager, said: "It will be a great celebration of all the tastes, sights and sounds that make our diverse borough such a great place to visit and live."
