THE public is invited to have their say on Harrow Council’s vision for the future of Harrow Town Centre, Wealdstone and Station Road.
The council has set up a blog and ten drop-in sessions over the next six weeks, where people can talk to planning officers and voice their opinions on the proposed plans.
The scheme could see millions of pounds of new investment by private enterprise, the council and partners over the next decade, creating 3,000 new jobs alongside new homes and infrastructure.
Councillor Keith Ferry, portfolio holder for planning and economic development, said: “This is about protecting what is great about the area while putting in place the planning guidelines that manage future development and exploit it for the good of everyone in Harrow.
“The masterplan aims to steer new development and act as a means by which future decisions about transport, shopping, leisure and employment uses can be made – alongside enabling the improvement of streets, parks and open spaces to meet the needs of both existing and new residents and businesses.“
