PUPILS at a school in Harrow were seeing spots this afternoon at an event to raise money for Children in Need.

Children from Heathland School, in Eastcote Lane, South Harrow, have raised £450 so far for the sponsored event.

The students, along with their teachers, dressed up in spotted clothes, with some children decorating their faces.

Pupil Sujan Sathesh, 11, was treasurer for the day and counted up the money collected from the event.

He said: “It was a really special day. I went to some shops and bought colourful stickers to go on my top to make it spotty.

“Helping children is important and today was something we could all help out with.”

Deputy headteacher Karen Matthews, said: “The theme was to be spotty and the children have all done very well in their attempts.

“We wanted them not to go out and spend money on a new outfit so we said whatever you can do go ahead and do it.

“Children in Need is a very important event in the year and ties into our values-based education where we teach the children about charity.

“Thank you to all the parents for helping out by getting their children dressed up.”
