THE owner of a nail salon in Stanmore has shared his "anger" after two incidents of criminal damage at his shop in the past three weeks.

Police were called to Jennifer's Nails and Beauty, in Church Road, at around 12.30am to a partially smashed window and a "prospective arson" attempt.

This is the second incident after police confirmed the shop's windows were smashed, along with neighbouring shop, Pano's barbers, earlier this month on Saturday, August 13, around 11.50pm.

Owner of Jennifer's Nails and Beauty, Kenny Dang, said: "I came in the normal time I do this morning around 9.30am and saw what had happened.

"I can't believe it has happened again. We're not sure of the details but it's serious damage to the window and to my business.

"I am angry and I don't know why anyone would do this."

Andrew Chris, from Pano's Barber Shop said: "Our window was broken a few weeks ago when the nail salon was hit also.

"This type of hooliganism affects a lot of people and our businesses.

"People see the state of the shop and wonder what has happened. We don't want our customers to think badly of us."

A spokesman for Harrow Police said: "The incident that happened in the early hours of this morning at around 12.30am is being treated as arson.

"It was a prospective arson where members of the London Fire Brigade attended and took out the fire.

"The incident is being investigated by Harrow CID."

He added the first incident on Saturday, August 13 was being treated as "criminal damage" and confirmed both Jennifer's Nails and Pano's barbers had their "large glass display windows damaged" at around 11.50pm.

A London Fire Brigade spokeswoman confirmed firefighters were called to the incident in the early hours of this morning. She said: "The fire was a small one and officers were only there for a short while.

"Police were also called on to the scene but firefighters managed to put the fire out in around ten minutes."

Both incidents are being investigated by police and anyone with information can contact the non-emergency number 101 or alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
