SQUATTERS have been kicked out of a block of flats above shops in Enfield Town.
Around 15 people moved into New River House, in Colman Parade, more than a week ago having previously camped out in former Enfield PCT offices in Wenlock House, in Eaton Road.
Police watched on today as the group were turfed out by the owners of the building who were granted a court order and the doors are now being bordered up to stop them returning.
The squatters previously told the Enfield Independent they only moved into the abandoned building because it was empty and they needed somewhere to sleep.
They were accused of doing “extensive damage” to the PCT building on their previous stay and had pledged to keep New River House in a better state.
