LAWYERS for Tottenham Hotspur are at the High Court today over its second attempt to stop West Ham taking over the Olympic Stadium.
Speculation is rife that the club will drop the judicial review application following talks with Boris Johnson last night, although today’s hearing is currently going ahead.
Tottenham MP David Lammy said on social networking website Twitter: “New White Hart Lane more likely than ever now. Good news for Spurs fans and Tottenham residents.”
Spurs have plans to build a new ground locally but bid to take over the stadium after the London 2012 Olympics.
They were beaten by their east London rivals and launched an initial legal challenge, which was rejected.
But the club has come back with a second attempt to derail West Ham, which is being heard today.
More to follow.
