Adrian has recipe for success

A PINNER man bagged a place in the final of a national sandwich making competition, beating 11,000 hopefuls to have his creation added to a glossy cookbook.

Adrian Sleeman's Orient Express sandwich impressed the celebrity judges including TV personalities Gail Porter and Keith Chegwin, celebrity chef Silvana Franco and Philip Brown member of the prestigious British Sandwich Association at the Hellmann's Will Your Sandwich Make It? competition on Wednesday, September 6.

Adrian said: "It was such a great honour to make it to the final from the thousands of recipes entered. I had such a fantastic day - it was staged like the X-Factor and I felt like a real star. I met all of the celebrity judges and even got some great tips from Silvana Franco on all the different ways to use mayo for my future creations. The whole day was an experience I will never forget."

The winning creation was a continental style toasted Mediterranean ciabatta and will be sold at supermarkets around the country.
