A DATE has been announced for a Kenton by-election following the death of a long standing ward councillor.
Arthur Steel served on Brent Council for 36 years but passed away aged 74 on New Year's Day at St Luke's Hospice after losing his fight with cancer.
A by-election will be held on Thursday, February 17, and anyone in the ward can take part.
Anyone not yet on the electoral register must sign up by February 2, and votes can be cast either in person or by post.
Nomination forms can be collected from and must be returned to Electoral Services at Brent Town Hall, in Forty Lane, Wembley, on working days starting tomorrow, until midday next Friday.
