A HARROW woman accused of slavery in the first modern case of its kind will face a jury in December.
Saeeda Khan, 68, pleaded not guilty in September to bringing Tanzanian national Mwanahanisi Mruke into the country to stay at her bungalow in Whitmore Road so she could exploit her.
Police say the alleged victim was brought to Britain in October, 2006, and was forced to work for nothing until February this year.
Ms Khan has chronic arthritis and was allowed to sit in the dock of Westminster Magistrates Court at a hearing today where a trial was set for Southwark Crown Court on December 1.
She is currently on bail.
