A TWO-day festival of horticulture celebrating gardeners across Harrow begins today.
The sixth annual Harrow in Leaf show is taking place in the grounds of Harrow Museum and Heritage Centre, bringing together prize winning vegetables, colourful flowers and plants, and thousands of Harrow residents.
The show, which replace the former Harrow Show after it folded, is organised by horticultural group Harrow in Leaf who run a host of competitions to find who has the borough's greenest fingers.
This year, Queen Elizabeth II lookalike Mary Reynolds will be among the guests for the show, which runs today and tomorrow between midday and 6pm.
Previous Harrow in Leaf shows have drawn vast crowds, offering not just horticulture but fun and games, exhibitions from groups like Harrow Beekeepers Association, and live music throughout the day.
Organisers will be hoping the rain holds off this weekend so visitors to the show are not put off.
