ORGANISERS of a South Harrow community show are looking for inspirational stories of dogs who were taken in and given a home by residents.

One of the categories in the dog show at this year's Roxeth Show is for best rescue dog, and we are looking to hear from people who want to enter the competition.

The Harrow Times is the media partner for the show, on Saturday, July 10 and Sunday, July 11, and is encouraging owners of rescue dogs to send in stories of how they came to be together.

Harrow and Pinner Lions Club, the organisers of the show, have also lined up a vast array of entertainment for the weekend, including a fun fair, music, dancing, and displays from local schools and clubs.

The Harrow Times is also running a painting competition to mark the show, and encouraging children aged between five and 13-years-old to send in their creations depicting a view of Harrow.

Entries should be sent to Fran Wolfisz at 71 Church Road, Hendon, NW4 4DN, and winners will be included in the next Lions Club calendar.
