HARROW and Pinner Lions Club have teamed up with the Harrow Times to hold a children's art competition to celebrate this year's Roxeth Show.

The annual event, now in its 32nd year, is one of the largest community events in the borough, bringing residents to Roxeth Recreation Ground for two days of fun and games.

We are encouraging children aged between five and 13, to show their artistic skills by drawing or painting their favourite image of Harrow.

This can be anything from the beautiful view of St Mary's Church, to children playing on the Hill, to shoppers enjoying the sunshine in Pinner High Street. We want you to show us what Harrow means to you.

The winning entries will be included in the official 2011 Harrow and Pinner Lions Club calendar, and will feature in the Harrow Times.

The show, which is free to attend, is set to be another great day out for thousands of residents, with games, stalls, attractions, and entertainment through the weekend of Saturday, July 10 and Sunday, July 11.

The HA2CANDO carnival will be returning for the 7th year, Harefield and Hillingdon Hospital Radio will be broadcasting through the event, and there is a dog show organised by the RSPCA.

There are three categories to the art competition – five to seven-year-olds, eight to ten-year-olds, and 11 to 13-year-olds.

Entries should be sent to Fran Wolfisz, at 71 Church Road, Hendon, NW4 4DN, or emailed to fwolfisz@london.newsquest.co.uk
