A SOUTH Harrow doctor is facing the prospect of being struck off over claims he gave slimming pills to patients who did not need them.
Dr Dilip Jash, a practitioner at King's Private Clinic in Gayton Road, is accused of giving out weight management drugs “inappropriately”, not keeping adequate medical records, and his behaviour has been described as “inappropriate, inadequate, and not in the best interests of his patients”.
Dr Jash is also accused of behaving inappropriately to one of his bosses during a Healthcare Commission inspection, and lying to the GMC about his past record as a doctor.
He is facing a week-long hearing at the General Medical Council, and if found guilty he could be suspended or struck off the medical register.
The hearing was originally held in the summer last year, but the panel ran out of time to hear the full case and deferred it until now.
