Wembley man's death not being treated as suspicious

POLICE are not treating the death of a Wembley fisherman who disappeared after going to sea in a small boat last week as suspicious.

Osman Sharif, 28, failed to return from his excursion in Christchurch Harbour last Tuesday, and his body was recovered from the water in Barton-on-Sea on Friday afternoon.

A post mortem on the Lyon Park Avenue resident gave the cause of death as drowning, and an inquest is due to open tomorrow at Southampton Coroners Court.
